Academic Calendar

The academic year begins on September 1 and ends on August 31 of the following calendar year. Each academic year is structured in two semesters, the winter and spring one respectively. Each semester consists of 13 weeks of teaching. At the end of each semester, there is a three-week examination period.

 

The academic calendar indicates the start and end dates:

– of the courses in the winter and spring semesters,

– of the examination periods

– Christmas and Easter holidays.

 

The academic calendar also features the official holidays of each semester. The academic calendar is announced before the beginning of each academic year, following the official decision made by the Senate of the University of West Attica.
