Tryfaini  Sidiropoulou-Kanellou is a Professor at the department of Education and Care in Early Childhood, School of Administrative, Economics & Social Sciences in the University of West Attica (UNIWA). She has served as vice president of the department (2014–2020). She has main and postgraduate studies in Clinical Psychopedagogy applied in education at the University of Paris under the supervision of Professor Michel Lobrot. She holds a Phd (2002) from the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology at the University of Athens (NKUA) titled: “Family and Preschool Education. Searching for a two-way relationship in the early stages of a child’s development”Her scientific interests focus on preschool psychopedagogy, in the connection of academic sector and preschool institutions and in action research on the quality of pedagogical practices.  She has participated in a number of research projects. 

 

Her published scientific work includes articles in peer-reviewed journals, books, chapters in books and collective volumes. She is a member of scientific societies, scientific and organizational committees of International and Greek conferences and a member of the editorial/scientific committees of scientific journals. She has a large number of conference announcements in International and Greek conferences. She was Academic Advisor of the 2nd Department of Higher Education of Technological Direction of Hellenic National Recognition and Information Center (Hellenic N.A.R.I.C. / Δ.Ο.Α.Τ.Α.Π.) for the specialty of Preschool Education. She also was evaluator at the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) of postgraduate students abroad as well as a supervisor of Postgraduate and Doctorate Studies. Additionally, for twenty years she was the scientific director for Practicum Training Program at the department of Education and Care in Early Childhood (UNIWA).  She is a founding member of the “Laboratory for Research on Early Childhood Psychopedagogy” at the same department. She also participated in the coordination of the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program “Pedagogy through Innovative Approaches, Technologies and Education” and is a Member of the Special Inter- faculty Committee since its inception. She has collaborated and still collaborating in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of Ioannina, International University of Greece and the University of West Attica.
